Recipe: Banana Chocolate Bar

You know, like a salad bar or a baked potato bar.  Oh, you thought I was talking about a baked good, like a granola bar?  No, no, no.  This Banana Chocolate Bar is so much easier and versatile, but every bit as decadent as the ooeyest and gooeyest chocolate bar.  Plus, if you’re just looking for a quick sweet fix, this is definitely a go-to winner!

There are really not too many key ingredients, except bananas, and I kind of think chocolate is key too.  So, here is what you do (this is for a single serving):

Banana Chocolate Bar

Makes 1 Serving.

  • 1 bananas
  • 1 tablespoons mini chocolate chips (like Enjoy Life)
  • 1/2 teaspoons maple syrup

1. Slice banana into bowl.

2. Top with chocolate chips and maple syrup.

3. Microwave for 15 seconds.

4. Add in any other desired toppings. Suggestions: chopped pecans or almonds, coconut, marshmallows.

I’m sure I’m not the first to think of this easy chocolate treat.  I’d love to hear how you might enjoy your Banana Chocolate Bar!

I read your blog posts as soon as I wake up; after doing the school drop off, I decided this would be my breakfast today. I kept thinking about how delicious warm bananas and chocolate were going to be. Upon returning home, I found that the kids went crazy on the bananas last night and we were fresh out. So, tomorrow! It looks so good!!!

I hope it lives up to your expectations 🙂 It’s stupid easy and I feel kind of weird posting it as a “recipe” because it’s so logical. But, you have to fill those pages somehow 🙂

I told another reader that I almost felt guilty for sharing a recipe that seems so logical. But, I’ve gotten a lot of feedback from it. Sometimes, we just bypass the simple things. I hope you like it!

      Have a good weekend!
