Allergy-Free Wednesdays: June 12, 2013

Welcome to Allergy-Free Wednesdays!

We finally did some strawberry pickin’ over the weekend.  I was thrilled to pick some 15 lbs of no-spray berries for a mere $2.10 per pound.  Now, what to do with all those scrumptious berries!?! We had dairy-free strawberry ice cream on day 1.  Day 2 was yogurt & berries for breakfast and strawberry shortcake for dinner.  I think the pie below is a perfect choice foe another fixin’! Mmmmm…be sure to get out and enjoy all the scrumptious berries right now!

  1. So many of us buy wheat bread thinking it’s healthier for us… and it turns out to be no different that the white bread next to it on the shelf. I shared a post on how to know if your wheat bread TRULY is healthy, because there’s a 75% chance that it’s not. I also shared a post on sourdough – the 101 class covering all the basics on this amazing and delicious bread.
